Day 3 and 4

Ok let's wrap this up.

Day 3-
Breakfast at the City Diner
Bronx Zoo for 7 hours (don't forget Betsy is 8 months pregnant)
Mars 2112 for dinner in Times Square (this a Mars themed restaurant where you take a spaceship to get there and then aliens come and dance around you, do not go here unless you have children ages 2-8)
Toys R Us in Times Square at 10 pm

Day 4-
Church at Redeemer (met Elisabeth Hasselbeck who goes to church there)
Lunch outside eating NYs best thin pizza
Central Park for snacking and playing and people watching
Betsy and I went to Soho for some fabric shopping
Jason and Lee and the kids went to a park that has water flowing all thru it

We had the best time. Every night the children fell in to bed sleeping before their head hit the pillow. Betsy is the best trip planner ever and we are so grateful for all that she did!!! Thanks B.

Schools out for Summer

Guess who finished 1st grade with an all A average?
Guess who sat through another program?
Guess who is out of school for the summer?

I'm Chuck Bass

If you know what it means you know how good it is.

And you probably know that Kelly Taylor is going back to her old school to be the guidance counselor.

This guy is such a classic Tybee beach dweller. You can't ask for much better.

Beach Bum Parade/Tybee

Beach Bum was lots of fun. I was the first person of our group to get soaked by a bucket of water that I did not see coming. (This is a water gun parade/fight that Tybee has every year to kick off the summer season. ) Jason defended me by dumping a bucket on that same guy later. Jay and his friend Jeffrey especially liked to get the "ladies". Saturday we spent most of the day at the beach. Brad carried 3 kids there and 4 back on his bike. Apparently none of us know how to apply sunscreen to our children or ourselves because we are all burned. Packy was delirious by the time we left and had turned in to a sea turtle making paths in the soft sand. Mimi's outdoor shower really came in handy and the RV spot next to the house was perfect.

I got Tagged

I have never been tagged before!
Andrea tagged me for this meme: Six Quirky Things about You

Here are the rules:
* Link the person who tagged you.
* Mention the rules in your blog.
* Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
* Tag a new set of six following bloggers by linking them.

Ok-here are my six quirky things.
1.I eat soap when I am pregnant. (I am not the only one who does this, it is a medical condition!)
2.I take at least 2 showers/baths or more everyday. If I am cold I take one. Headache, tired, need to hide from my kids...you will find me in the bathroom.
3.When I am stressed out I clean out my medicine cabinet. I feel better when I throw some stuff away.
4.I sleep with the covers over my head.
5.I never change my babies on the "changing table". Always on my bed.
6.I love to do laundry.
(added after talking to Betsy...I love to eat cake mix and if I don't have any I will mix butter, sugar, and flour and microwave it. She also thinks that it is quirky that I listen to my I-pod at the grocery store. I think that is normal. Is it?)

I am sure Jason could come up with some better ones!
Ok-here are the people I am tagging.
Hope and her haven.
Trish
Catherine (I know you have some quirky stuff going on.)
Leslie

I would tag Betsy but she has no blog and I would tag Keri but it might be too much! I feel like I am passing around a note at school!

Emory's Out

Emory had her end of the year party today for the Friendly Frog class. She has spent the last three years at Ingleside Baptist Preschool and next year will be at Alex II with Jay. I have been so happy with Ingleside. Her teachers are awesome and she has made so many sweet friends. Packy loves to go to her events because the girls love to "take care" of him.

It's Been a While

After a wonderful weekend in Rome, GA playing tennis I came home to the aftermath of a tornado. Not a figurative tornado, a real tornado. Our house was fine and we were without water only for a few hours while others had trees on top and in their houses and no electricity or water for days. We were very blessed that the giant pecan tree in our backyard stayed right where it was. We were supposed to have Jay's birthday party at the bowling alley on Sunday but the bowling alley lost it's roof. Jay really didn't care as long as he got to open his present from Ceci, new Airrator tennis shoes. The pictures are ones that Jason took while I was gone. He did a great job taking care of all of his babies while I was gone from Thursday to Sunday!!!

Guess who got a haircut?

Since Packy was looking a little like Nick Nolte when he got arrested we thought it was time.

Elliot Farms

Today Emory's class went to Elliot Farms to pick strawberries. Of course I remembered at 8:55 and they were leaving from the school at 9. I decided we would just meet them there and I booked it to get dressed and ready. We were doing OK on time until I went outside and noticed that Jason had not taken out the trash. Anyway....we made it to the field trip in plenty of time and it was so much fun. We picked strawberries, ate homemade strawberry ice cream, went on a hay ride, and got to see chickens, goats, horses, and a crazy peacock that kept yelling at us from the top of the barn.

Creativity

adjustable casserole dish transporter + polly pockets and princesses= a castle full of fun
I love how Emory creates. She is so fun to watch and the worlds she creates are so fun to visit. Makes me realize that if the TV is not on that they actually use their brains. Packy, again, I just have to put them up so you can see the crazy sweet smiles that I get to see! How cool is he with the shades and the thumbs up?

pacs

The picture of Packy looking out the window with Bogey is almost exactly like a picture I have of Jay. I will post it with this as soon as I scan it. This was not staged either. I don't have one of Emory doing the same thing. I guess the boys and their dog are just on the same page. They both want to know what is going on outside and when can they get out there and do it too.

Busy Day for Jay

Two big events happened today for Jay. He had his first big school Field Day and he got his blue belt in karate. How cute is his friend from school?
